One example of the way women are degraded is shown on pg 110. After Dorian has turned down Sibyl Vane and she has begged at his feet, he believes he can just go back to her and she will take him back without a doubt.
On page 116, Lord Henry proposes that women are also, "charmingly artificial." He later goes on to say at the bottom of that page and top of the next when you should never trust a woman.
